Trouble With Toast

Day off = breakfast deliciousness! | February 21, 2008

The best part about federal holidays?  The fact that neither my sweetie nor I have to work, which means that we can enjoy a tasty and leisurely breakfast.  This past Monday, it was blueberry pancakes (with bananas, for me), soy sausage links, and hot, fresh-brewed coffee.  It definitely gave us the stamina…to vigorously clean our apartment (you all have dirty minds, by the way)!  Yum…

  1. Really, Betty? Soy sausages? What do you have against great tasting pig parts?

I bet you used sugar-free “maple syrup,” too.

  2. I love pig parts as much as the next person–but Jason and I are trying to watch our figures, so we cut when we can. Also, since I was shopping at the corner market (instead of Whole Foods or Giant), the real sausage selection was horrible.

And there WAS real maple syrup at the table (Jason really likes it), but I opted for Lite Aunt Jemima. You don’t know me! 😉
